During this initial meeting, we'll get to know each other, discuss your goals, and clarify all the framework. You'll get a feel for how I work. At the end, we'll decide together whether we want to work together. This will be followed by regular sessions in which we work on your issues.
I will normally contact you by phone or email within 24 hours. You can describe your concerns to me. If psychotherapy is a good fit for you, we'll schedule an initial consultation.
We'll decide that together. Many of my patients come every two to three weeks, but we adjust the frequency to your needs.
The duration is individual and depends on your concerns and goals. Some clients tackle specific challenges in just a few sessions, while others work on deeper issues over months. During the initial consultation, we'll work together to determine what's right for you.
You can discontinue therapy at any time. However, it's advisable to discuss this in a final session to clarify any questions and ensure a positive ending.
Yes, your data and all session content will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. As a psychotherapist, I am bound by legal confidentiality and will not disclose any information without your express consent. This creates a safe space for open discussions. Confidentiality will only be breached if there is an acute risk to self or others.
Yes, absolutely. Psychotherapy isn't just for people with a mental illness. It can also be a valuable support during stressful life phases, for personal development, in relationship crises, or for prevention.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the appointment, you will unfortunately be charged in full. If you cancel in a timely manner, there will be no charge. Please let me know in advance if you need to reschedule.
Psychologists have completed a degree in psychology. They are only permitted to offer psychological treatments after additional training (e.g., as a clinical psychologist). Psychiatrists are medical doctors with specialist training in psychiatry. They are authorized to prescribe medication. Psychotherapists have completed comprehensive psychotherapeutic training (consisting of a preparatory course and a specialized course) and are authorized to conduct talk therapy independently.
This means I am in the final phase of my training and am already working independently with patients. I am closely supervised by experienced training therapists. However, for legal reasons, I cannot yet bill health insurance companies directly – therefore, I offer reduced fees.
